It’s time to lift off for the holiday season at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. If you are looking for thrilling space adventures and holiday festivities wrapped into one, plan a visit to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex this holiday season for the launch of this year’s Holidays in Space.
Holidays in Space at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex begins Friday, December 16, and runs through Wednesday, December 30, 2022. It will feature brand-new entertainment – such as an out-of-this-world nighttime projection mapping show – and all-new décor, which will be revealed soon. Stay tuned to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s social media accounts and website for the big reveal.
Holidays in Space gives guests and future space explorers the perfect mix of education, fun, and holiday cheer. And it all starts the minute you arrive at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
Before you arrive at the front gate, you can spot the NASA meatball-turned-holiday ornament. (A fan favorite throughout the years!) As you make your way through the entrance, guests will be greeted by all-new festive holiday décor that has taken over the entire visitor complex. From The Rocket Garden to Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex™ to the Apollo/ Saturn V Center, guests won’t want to miss anything during their visit to Holidays in Space.
As you make your way through the visitor complex, guests can stop by LEGO: Build to Launch, located inside of IMAX, for a hands-on experience or visit Planet Play for a fun time for the entire family.
Guests can also experience the newest attraction at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex. With a focus on the present and future of collaborative space exploration, guests can experience the interstellar travel of tomorrow while celebrating everything happening right now within the space program. Gateway features a showcase of NASA and commercial spacecraft hardware with immersive displays, the spaceport of the future, Spaceport KSC, and an all-new restaurant, Space Bowl Bistro.
Upon entering Gateway, “space travelers” are greeted with a futuristic design setting the stage for their journey. Visitors are surrounded by flight-flown artifacts and full-scale models, placed around the floor and suspended from above to allow 360-degree viewing and interaction.
At Spaceport KSC, guests are transported to an airport of the future, hearing airport chatter and seeing distant views of active launches and landings through the galactic spaceport windows. The main concourse showcases departure and arrival information from destinations across the galaxy. Guests then board “spaceships” – in the form of a two-story, motion theater – for one of four journeys: Cosmic Wonders, Daring Explorers, Red Planet, or Uncharted Worlds. Each distinct destination allows for the possibility of a different experience with each visit.
Don’t miss a holiday season that’s out of this world! Holidays in Space, Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, and everything mentioned above is included with daily admission.
