We’ve found the perfect activity for those toddler and pre-school aged kiddos—and it checks off all three boxes: fun, educational, and affordable. Marineland Dolphin Adventure’s Sea Squirts Program is one of our top things to do with little kids in Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches.
What:
Sea Squirts is a weekly program that gives kids ages 3 to 5 years-old a “unique Marineland Dolphin Adventure experience that focuses on conservation. Each program is centered on a specific conservation topic and includes a fun activity.
Sea Squirts sessions might include:
- a short read-aloud of a children’s book
- a fun craft, like making a paper octopus or sand slime
- an opportunity for animal observation
- The atmosphere is laid-back and fun, with friendly program leaders who are skilled at keeping the tiniest tots engaged. Parents must stay for the entire hour-long program. Spots are limited and advanced registration is required.
When:
Sea Squirts at Marineland Dolphin Adventure is offered on select Wednesdays in the spring and fall. There are two times slots available: 10 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Each class lasts approximately one hour. Afternoon sessions are perfect for those older kids who are currently enrolled in Florida’s VPK morning program.

$10 per adult (required)
$10 for 1st child; $5 for each additional child
Where:
Marineland Dolphin Adventure is located at 9600 Oceanshore Boulevard, St. Augustine. The facility is just off of A1A, with beautiful views of the Atlantic. We suggest extending your fun day by exploring the beach. River to Sea Preserve is nearby and features a beachside boardwalk, restrooms, and picnic facilities. Pack a lunch to enjoy at the beach or drive a few miles south to Captain’s BBQ, where you’ll find yummy eats and a great playground just steps away at Bing’s Landing.
Some Things to Keep in Mind for Sea Squirts:

The park is closed to the public during Sea Squirts so participants will not have access to areas not visited during the program. Gates open 10 minutes before the program time and close 5 minutes after the program time. Late arrivals will not be permitted, so be sure to arrive promptly!
