Nobody Does Halloween Like Orlando

So, you like Halloween. Good for you. It’s an exciting and fun time of the year that all of the family can enjoy. Do you know who also likes Halloween? Orlando does. And then some. Nobody does Halloween like Orlando and Real Florida Adventures has all the inspo for you.

For lovers of this extensive Fall experience, Orlando is Halloween Central, and you simply can’t go wrong for a fabulous array of tricks, treats, and downright scares. From the all-out fright-fest of Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights to the kid-friendly Brick Or Treat at LEGOLAND Florida, there is something for absolutely everyone, and plenty of it, besides.

It’s probably no surprise that the theme parks lead the way with their mix of regular daily events and special evening extravaganzas that require a separate ticket to enjoy.

The Big Ones (aka Theme Parks Spooks)

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party: All the fantasy and imagination of the Magic Kingdom, with lots of candy stations, the hilarious Hocus Pocus stage show, a classic parade, and superb fireworks and special effects production (extra ticket required).

SeaWorld’s Spooktacular: More child-centric fun from the folks at SeaWorld, with another great range of trick-or-treat options as well as colorful characters, Halloween story-time with Big Bird, a clever Pumpkin Garden, Scarecrow Dance Party, and Cookie Decorating (included with park entry, some activities extra).

Brick or Treat: This is another totally children-focused special presentation that offers the mild side of Halloween. Kids get to enjoy an all-new show lineup, a scare-ific cast of new characters, and a costume parade, plus tons of essential candy of course (included with park admission).

Howl-O-Scream: Not advisable for kids but excellent grown-up fare, SeaWorld’s evening event is a mix of grisly, gruesome, and grotesque haunted houses, scare zones, and shows – just what you need to bring out the ghoul in you and your friends (extra ticket required).

Halloween Horror Nights: Also a don’t-bring-the-kids occasion, Universal’s virtuoso horror frenzy is rightly lauded as one of the best of its kind in the country, an all-out movie-fuelled scare-a-thon that borrows from well-known themes as well as original creative content (extra ticket required).

Other Special Events

Haunted Houses

In addition to the parks, you’ll also find a range of stand-alone Halloween festivities and set-pieces that provide even more

Scream n’ Stream: Ready for a drive-through haunted experience? This novel creation at the Florida Mall starts with the Haunted Lobby and continues in your own car along the Haunted Drive, which features a series of seven uniquely horrific and special effects laden zones.

The Haunted Road: A big hit in 2021, and back again with another lineup of ghastly scenes on a drive-through basis, the Haunted Road advertises itself as the ‘Human Slaughterhouse,’ and you’d better believe they are going to lay on the gore with a trowel!

The Lights on Jeater Bend: For something completely different, this community effort to highlight the season in the best home style has become a tradition at Halloween as well as Christmas. Located in the Disney-inspired town of Celebration at Jeater Bend, it features a whole street decorated with all manner of lights and gadgets.

Screamin’ Green Hauntoween at the Crayola Experience: Here’s another one for the young ’uns, with themed crafts, scavenger hunts, photo opportunities, and more. Also located at the Florida Mall, it is a welcome chance for kids to show their own creative side.

And that’s all before you consider the traditional fun of Halloween itself and the customary door-to-door trick-or-treating. It’s a magnificent collection of events, happenings, and spook-aramas that uses all the imagination and ingenuity that Orlando has become synonymous with.

Of course, you don’t need to do any of the above to have an especially good time in our part of Central Florida at this time of year. Real Florida Adventures still have the full range of tours, activities, and day trips going out each day of the week, and October is often the ideal month to head to the beach, especially on weekdays.

In fact,  this is the perfect time to grab your beach towel and swimsuit and join RFA’s Clearwater Trip with Seaside Lunch. The massed crowds of high summer have been and gone, the sun isn’t quite so intense, the sea is still plenty warm, and there is a lovely laid-back vibe about this beautiful stretch of sugar-white sands.

Finally, when you’re contemplating your Orlando vacation in this or any other month of the year, just be sure to give the RFA guides a chance to show you the very best that the Sunshine State has to offer. There really is nothing like this destination for vacation thrills and experiences.

Be sure to ask about the Price Match Guarantee. If you find a lower qualified price for an identical tour on another site, they will match it, no questions asked.

Don’t forget to Follow RFA on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram to check out all the fun. Because nobody does Halloween like Orlando.
