History

A family owned business, Boggy Creek Adventures started way back in 1994, making them one of Orlando’s original airboat tours. They were instrumental in bringing attention to the actual headwaters of the Florida Everglades which are right here in central Florida. Guests can experience this exciting eco-tour just minutes from the world famous attractions – no lines, no parking charges and thrills galore. Not to mention a close up look at the real Florida and some of the ancient cultures that predated Mickey Mouse by a few hundred years!

Lily’s Butterfly Garden and Lorelei’s Critter Collection

Walk through the Lily’s Butterfly Garden and Lorelei’s Critter Collection, a 20 x 60 foot specially designed aviary named after the the original owner’s granddaughters, features different species of butterflies that are native to Florida and the U.S., including Monarch, Painted Ladies and Sulphurs. Guests can purchase nectar cups for $2 to feed the butterflies inside the aviary.

The night time one hour tour takes guests on a quest to find the red glowing eyes of the alligators as they come out to feed. Especially during the summer, this is the best time to see many alligators and have an experience that cannot be beaten!

UDrive VIP Tour

Learn to drive an airboat! This is a one of a kind experience that you can only do at Romp in the Swamp! Being a passenger in an airboat is a thrilling adventure, and now Boggy Creek Adventures has taken it to the next level with a dually controlled boat, allowing you to be captain! You will learn airboating from the most qualified and experienced airboat captains in the world. After training on the controls and you get the feel of driving, the captain puts you in control to navigate and fly over the water. NO prior airboating experience is required!

The VIP package is an hour-long and includes you in the captain’s seat, a t-shirt, photo of you driving as well as space for two additional guests to come along as spectators. This tour is available as an upgrade locally.

Gem Mining

You will feel like a true miner discovering various gems, shells, shark/alligator teeth and rare fossils in a 70-foot mine! This activity is great for all ages and abilities – even the adults will get hooked on the crusade to find hidden prizes!

Boggy Bottom BBQ

Sit down inside the restaurant dine outside for an unforgettable lake view. Serving true Florida style bbq and all the fixins’ made from recipes handed down from generations of Floridians. Also on the menu are Florida favorites such as gator tail, catfish and the “you can’t get this back home” swamp cabbage stew. Enjoy the restaurant 7 days a week.

Photo Swamp Shack

The Swamp Shack is stocked with the latest of “Old Florida Outdoor Wear” from camo to overalls to help guests be picture perfect ready for a Florida memory! Pose and model the outdoor fashion in front of our cracker style shack while sitting on an airboat. Say cheese, take a selfie!

Gator Pond

Get an up-close and personal view of Florida’s most famous reptile, the Alligator! The brand-new gator pond and viewing area houses alligators in a natural oasis.
