ME STRONG 5K

The ME STRONG 5K takes runners through historic downtown DeLand, Stetson University, and DeLand’s historic northwest housing district every February. Since its inaugural race on January 28, 2012, ME STRONG has dedicated itself to supporting the community by raising funds to provide financial support to local individuals navigating life with a cancer diagnosis, with 100% of sponsorship funds designated for this cause. Participants can also honor loved ones in the Tribute Zone, where yard signs featuring names or photos will be displayed along the race route. Join the race to support a great cause and enjoy a day of community spirit and celebration.

Central Florida Legends

Legends of Florida are on display during the Central Florida Legends in November. Consisting of the Skunk Ape Marathon, Mermaid Half Marathon, and Fountain of Youth 5K, each race is on flat, scenic courses. Starting and ending at Gemini Springs Park in Debary, the paths take you under the mossy oaks of the Spring-to-Spring in West Volusia County. Hosted by Runner’s High Timing and Race Management and the West Volusia Runners, the finish line includes a ‘Legendary’ Tailgate Party. The Full Marathon is a Boston Qualifier with extensive aid stations throughout the course providing water, electrolytes, and gels. Enjoy a well-supported race with beautiful Old Florida scenery.

Proceeds benefit Rotary Youth programs, making it a great event to run and enjoy festive drinks while supporting a good cause.

Hero Hustle 5K

With a mostly flat course and a few moderate hills, the Hero Hustle 5k supports veteran and active-military organizations, such as the PTSD Foundation of America and Mission 22. DBK, the race organizer, is the only general contractor certified as a Purple Heart Entity. Over the past seven years, the race has raised nearly $95,000 for designated beneficiaries. Join this race to help our heroes, one mile at a time every May.

Central 28 Monster Mash-N-Dash 5K Run and Walk

Leprechaun Run 5K

Love Your Heart 5K

This Valentine’s Day event is organized as a fundraiser for the American Heart Association, offering a chance for participants to get active, stay healthy, and contribute to a worthy cause. The course will take you on a loop from the Pavilions at Dewey O. Boster Park through the surrounding neighborhood and back to the finish line, where you’ll receive your finisher medal, as well as post-race drinks and snacks.

DeLand 0.5K Micro-Marathon Pub Crawl

Ok, well this one isn’t a race, but it is a fun inclusion! Instead of racing for medals and recognition, you’re racing around town with your friends, visiting seven bars, breweries, and other hot spots in Downtown DeLand in the middle of October. It isn’t just for the love of the drink; this “race” is for a good cause. Proceeds benefit local Rotary charities.
